The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and those eggs were full of flavor, I mean we had different eggs each morning!
Not exactly cheap, but for what you get, it’s acceptable.

The food was fantastic, and I loved relaxing in the cozy lounge area after a long day. They also had a lovely garden to unwind in, which was perfect for morning coffee. Just a heads up, the rooms could have used a bit more natural light, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊

Had an amazing group trip with friends! We enjoyed hiking in the beautiful countryside and cycling nearby. The staff were super friendly and the food was great. Breakfast had plenty of options, and the walk-in shower was a nice touch. Don’t miss the pub garden for a drink in the sun!
The room felt a bit cramped with the wardrobe full of stuff, and one of the blinds didn't work, waking us up early. we had a great time overall.

explore attractions and nature from this convenient base
I stayed for 2 nights in a spacious room with everything I needed, which made it easy to stroll to nearby attractions like Roydon Woods Nature Reserve, just a km away, and enjoy the delicious breakfast options each morning. the only downside was some noisy door slams that could be disruptive at times.

Breakfast gets top marks for creativity. the variety makes mornings something to look forward to. The location hits a sweet spot for access to nearby attractions, easy to plan adventures.
The road outside can be quite noisy, making it tricky to get some peace and quiet. Our room had skylights rather than traditional windows, which felt a bit too closed in, especially when it rained and we had to keep them shut, leading to a warmer night than preferred. Dinner options were a bit hit-or-miss. a meal for two costing £100 felt steep for the value offered, given the limited vegetarian options and no desserts included.

Unique cocktail offerings, Exceptional roast dinners, Ample parking availability
I found the room layout a bit disconcerting, and having only Velux windows felt like a compromise on comfort!!! some cleanliness oversights were slightly disappointing during our stay!!!
